Gone-Away Lake...

Gone-Away Lake by Elizabeth Enright is a fabulous summer read!  This 1957 children's classic tells the story of cousins spending the summer together.  When they find a village of abandoned houses circling a muddy swamp, with an elderly brother and sister as it's keeper, the adventure begins. Enright's tale will capture the imagination of young and old.  It is a Sonlight and Ambleside Online suggested book.   

Gone-Away Lake is one of Ruben's new favorite books.  When we were finished, he asked me to find him a copy for keeps :)
